Dear Ones,

I join you in my thoughts and prayers as you come together to immerse your minds in God and absorb Guruji’s teachings. During this time of much turmoil in the world, meditate deeply and dwell on the eternal truths he has given; feel God’s presence and know that your prayers are drawing His blessings and reinforcing the influence of His love.

The lives of all of us have been affected by the recent tragedies. Yet in the midst of darkness, it is beautiful to see how the light of God’s goodness is shining through all who are reaching out to offer comfort and support to those in need and to one another. Though this is a time of deep emotion, we need more than ever to remain calm, strong, and united — to focus our hearts and minds on God, anchoring ourselves securely in Him who is changeless and whose divine laws and divine love uphold this world. We must not let our minds be pulled down by the negative side of duality. Guruji has said, "The whole drama is between pain and love. Your love must be greater than your pain." This becomes possible when we connect our lives with the very Source of that love. Let us ask ourselves each day what we can do individually to harmonize our thoughts and actions with God by following His moral laws, by the way we treat others, by our prayers and faithful efforts to commune with Him. The more each of us grows spiritually strong within, the more we can contribute to the welfare of our loved ones, our community, our nation, and our world.

At times such as this we are faced with questions about suffering and the meaning of life that are beyond the scope of human reason alone to answer. But if we seek deeper within, we will ultimately realize that we are not this body, but the eternal soul. Many times our souls have passed unscathed through the gateways of birth and death, and a divine hand is ever guiding our destiny. I have had on the door of my study at Mt. Washington through the years these words of Guruji: "In life, in death, I sit unharmed upon Thy lap, O Divine Mother." May this also be a reminder for you that there is a boundless love that follows and watches over you through all of life’s experiences. My deepest blessings to each of you.

God love you,
